Film project youngsters meet their heroes

LADBROKE Grove youngsters interviewed music stars and an expert on the Notting Hill Carnival for a film project.
As part of an Octavia Housing scheme, teenagers interviewed famous Ms Dynamite and rap artist Bashy last week.
They also talked to Marika Sherwood, biographer of Claudia Jones – thought by some to be the founder of Carnival.
The youngsters are making a movie to highlight the importance of Carnival in the community. Called 'Hidden Heroes', it will première at the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill next year.
Penzance Place resident Zakiya Amlak, said: "The interview was brilliant. I knew it would be because Ms Dynamite is so vocal about community issues"
